Our Base

Kia Ora, Welcome to the home of Rafting New Zealand.

Our Base, Developed during the summer of 2008/09 consists of  two fully customised White Water Rafting Sheds, Located in the Heart of Turangi, opposite the Towns Exciting Indoor Rock Gym and Extreme Backpackers.

Cosy in winter and Breezy in summer, our reception area /shop front is a tribute to all that is “Running the Rapids”.

Here you will be immersed into the atmosphere and culture of Rivers and the Adventures that take place on them.

With comfy leather couches, hot log fire (winter), Plasma T.V’s showing white water action and Ozone Espresso Coffee brewing,  you will feel welcome and very comfortable as you contemplate your RNZ rafting adventure.

From here we sign you up, brief you on what’s about to happen in comfort and style, and then deck you out in the latest and best quality river apparel.

For your changing pleasure we have clean toilets, separate Male and Female Changing rooms with independent lockers, here you can store your gear easily and a Safe is also available, so any valuables you have can be stored away with confidence.

Before we load into one of our modern vans for the journey up to the river, you will receive your expert rafting brief, all while you stay cosy and warm in our big rafting shed.

Post Trip you return to our base where you can indulge with a hot shower accompanied by luscious body wash.

Here at Rafting New Zealand we pride ourselves on the excellent and clean facilities that we offer to our clients all 364 days of the year. We love what we do here at Rafting New Zealand and we love for our clients to leave with excellent memories of their time with us, our base is an integral part of this philosophy.
